Signage Ordinances in Lawndale

Real Estate Signage Restrictions

Lawndale, CA

A. One wall-mounted or freestanding real estate sign shall be permitted for each street or highway frontage.

B. Sign cannot exceed twelve square feet in sign area on any frontage or twenty-four square feet in total sign area on the site, in any residential zone.

C. Sign cannot exceed forty-eight square feet in sign area on any frontage or ninety-six square feet in total sign area on the site, in any commercial or industrial zone.

D. Wall-mounted real estate sign shall not extend above the highest point of a parapet wall or the lowest point of a sloping roof.

E. Freestanding real estate shall not exceed eight feet in height from finished grade in residential zones, and shall not exceed sixteen feet in height from finished grade in commercial and industrial zones.

F. Freestanding real estate may be placed in required yard areas.

G. Real estate signs may be internally or externally illuminated but any flashing, moving or sequential operation is prohibited.

H. All real estate signs shall be removed from the premises within fifteen days after the property has been rented, leased, or sold.
